Hello! I'm Paul, and I run Barn Owl Live, free 24/7 wildlife cameras from the Peak District, where you can watch barn owls, tawny owls, badgers, foxes and deer. I've made these worksheets so teachers, home educators and youth groups can bring a little bit of wildlife into the classroom. They're written for primary school children, roughly ages 6 to 11.

📚 Barn owl fact sheets for kids
Four colourful fact sheets packed with barn owl facts, written in simple words. Each level builds on the one before, so children can move up from 10 facts to 20, 50 and finally all 100 as they learn more. The two youngest sheets end with "My favourite fact is number..." for children to fill in.
How to use the worksheets
- Each PDF has two pages: page 1 is the pupil's quiz sheet, with space for their name, class and date. Page 2 is the teacher's answer sheet, with a fun fact for every question to discuss with the class.
- Print page 1 for pupils, and keep page 2 for yourself. Children circle the right answer and colour in a star for every three they get right.
- Each sheet shows a suggested age, from 6+ for the easiest to 9+ for the trickier sheets.
💡 Teaching ideas: start a science lesson by watching our live barn owl camera on the whiteboard, then try a worksheet. Pupils could compare what they see on camera with what they learnt, or try the free online wildlife quiz as a class.
