Vote to name the barn owls, tawny owls, owlets and even stock doves nesting on our live cameras in the Peak District.
One of the things that makes Barn Owl Live special is that our viewers help name the wildlife. When birds move into one of our nest boxes, and again when they raise a brood, we run a name poll so the community can choose their names. Every Buster, Izzy, Toby and Sophie has a story, and many of them were named by people just like you, chatting on the live streams.
How the name polls work
When birds move into a nest box, or a brood hatches, we open a name poll for them.
The poll is announced in the live chat on that camera's YouTube stream.
Vote right there in the chat while you watch. This page shows the votes as they come in.
When a name reaches its target, it wins, and joins Recent Families and then our Hall of Fame.
So if you'd like a say, keep the stream on and keep an eye on the chat. The busiest times for new polls are the nesting season in spring and early summer, when eggs hatch and owlets need names.
