Free Wildlife images – In this section, you will find a selection of copyright-free photographs I have taken using my fabulous Sony Alpha camera. They are images of wildlife I have taken in the wilds of the Peak District National Park. Where I live, the red deer roam wild & free; they even come into our garden, so there are quite a few images of magnificent stags. Now I’ve built my barn owl boxes and got two occupied with beautiful barn owls. I’m hoping to be posting some photos of them soon. I will put some of them on here, again for free use.
Free Wildlife Illustrations – In this section, you will find copyright-free wildlife illustrations and drawings rather than actual photos. The illustrations are ideal to use on websites, printed material or social media. I’ve created these illustrations using Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and AI. I may put more illustrations here over time, so please subscribe to my mailing list to get notified.
Free Photographer Icons – In this section, you will find copyright-free icons I’ve made; they are ideal for use by photographers on websites, social media and printed material. Some icons are male-oriented, some female and some gender-neutral, so you should find something suitable for your needs. The icons are generally aimed at Wildlife or landscape photographers, and a few are more general, featuring just a camera.
Free Instagram Hashtag Collection – In preparation to start posting barn owl photos and videos on a new Instagram account I’ve created (please follow it on Instagram @Barnowl.Live) I thought I would get some owl-related hashtag collections I could use. I’ve shared these tags on here for others to use. Whilst hashtags don’t have the same effect they used to on Instagram, they do still work to some degree, so feel free to download and use them.
Free barn owl nest box plans – I’ve built my owl barn owl boxes from old oak whisky barrels. As I’ve built these as an experiment, each one I’ve made is better than the last one as they evolve from watching how the owls react to them. When I’ve got all the feedback from Mr & Mrs Barn Owl, I will draft plans on how to build your own, so watch this space! In the meantime, have a look at the nest box plans from the UKs Barn Owl Trust and their guidance notes. The Barn Owl Trust website can be found at BarnowlTrust.org.uk

Notes – All the images are in the Jpeg format. If you want to remove a background on the icons or illustrations and make it in the PNG type of file, you will find many photo editing software packages that can do this. Alternatively, there are numerous online websites that you can use, and some do it for free.
While I’m providing free wildlife images, illustrations, and icons, I will not create new ones on request or tweak or alter the ones I’ve already created. Feel free to tweak or change them yourself.
